Exciting Opportunity: High Court Seeks Talented Typist/Office Admin! Apply Now for this Prestigious Position

Typist: The North West Division of the High Court is seeking a skilled typist to fill the position of Typist Ref No: 2024/44/OCJ. The successful candidate will receive a salary of R183 279 – R215 892 per annum (Level 04) and will be required to sign a performance agreement.

To be considered for this position

applicants must possess a matric certificate or equivalent qualification and have a minimum typing speed of 35 words per minute. Shortlisted candidates will be required to pass a typing test, and a valid driver’s license will serve as an advantage.

The ideal candidate should also possess computer literacy in MS Word, good communication skills (both written and verbal), good interpersonal relations, planning and organization skills, good problem-solving skills, accuracy and attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure, and good time-keeping. Telephone etiquette is also a requirement for this position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for typing a variety of legal documents, including appeals, reviews, reports, minutes, circulars, notice of set downs, witness statements, taxing master reports, affidavits, memorandums, and court orders. They may also be required to provide relief administrative personnel where necessary, fill out paperwork, open files, make appointments, deal with public queries, and perform other administrative duties as needed.
