Duties
The incumbent is the sole Administrative Assistant at the Pretoria Regional Diplomatic Courier Hub (PRDCH) and is responsible for its day-to-day operations. The incumbent manages and arranges travel for five Diplomatic Couriers and three Locally Engaged Staff (LES) drivers, to include monitoring travel documents and voucher submissions for PRDCH personnel. The incumbent also works in the logistics computer-based program to track procurements, submit time and attendance for all PRDCH personnel, and in the Integrated Logistics Management System (ILMS) to track classified pouch movements. They will also order tickets from Carlson Wagonlit Travel, submit Business Class Authorizations, and occasionally liaise with Protocol and freight forwarders at O.R. Tambo International Airport (JNB). The incumbent will also provide courier escort duties, as needed.

Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: Two years of work experience performing administrative duties, and possessing experience with Microsoft Office suite (Microsoft, Excel, Word and Outlook) is required.
Education Requirements:
Completion of secondary school (Grade 12) is required.
Evaluations:
LANGUAGE: Fluent; speaking/reading/writing, may include the ability to translate required. (This may be tested).

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Mission South Africa may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.
For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
